What It Is: An educational and informational session dedicated to hunger and food related issues. The chambers connect members to the prize via a Borlaug Dialogue speaker.
When It Is: Thursday Oct. 29th What’s It’s For: The World Food Prize was created in 1986 by Nobel Peace Prize recipient Dr. Norman Borlaug. It is the foremost international award recognizing individuals whose achievements have advanced human development by increasing the quality, quantity or availability of food in the world. Who Attends: •Downtown Chamber members • City and Local officials •Non members •Political, educational, and social leaders and thinkers What It Costs: The 2020 event will be virtual and it is free for members, and $10 for the general public. |
