What It Is:
An educational and informational program offering insight into Downtown Des Moines development projects. DIG aspires to inform the downtown community and promote discussion about area projects in their infancy. Attendees are able to give feedback on current development projects, as well as network, connect, and meet others.  

When It Is:
DIG programs typically occur once a month. They are hosted at different member businesses and feature various projects and topics.

Downtown DIG premiered on January 20, 2015, and it continues to be a source for  information and connection to project leaders. The Downtown DIG committee determines the topics and ensures the right speakers are in place. This committee consists of volunteers in development-related industries who have their ears to the ground. While the committee may have competitive companies in the same room, they share the common interest of promoting civil discourse on projects. In 2018, the Downtown DIG program was honored by the Mid-America Chamber Executives (MACE) as their Event of the Year winner.
